My wife, sister in law and her husband and I took the Stena Line ferry to Dublin. We went for a weekend of indulgence. We stayed in the beautiful Jury's Croke Park hotel just outside the city centre, right opposite a huge sports stadium (I think Christian and I will be back to watch a game!). The plan for the trip was to have Saturday night drinking and dining in temple bar followed by a day touring the sights.
The Saturday night went to plan…a bit too well actually: we over indulged and struggled to leave the hotel on Sunday. We had a look at the gym (Luckily I forgot my gym kit!), before heading into the impressive 'Il Barista' bar, where we had started the previous night with a pint of Guinness, but today we drank some much needed black coffee.
We packed up the car. Took a quick drive around Dublin and headed back to the ferry.
